Holiday Resort Koh Yao

Koh Yao Noi Island has been sleeping its Cinderella sleep, while tourism on the neighbouring islands of Phuket and Phi Phi has doubled several times. But fishing and rice farming has always been a steady income for the locals and todays lifestyle is that of Koh Phuket or Koh Samui 20 years ago. Koh Yao Noi is inhabited with about 7000 people and the size of island is about 19 square kilometres.

Koyao Noi Island is covered by rubber plantations but at lot of natural forest still exist in the northern part and the interieur of the island. Here you will find the Gibbon and Macaca monkeys, here hornbills, sea eagles and kingfishers can still be seen. Mangrove forests cover much of the western coastline. In the rainy season the rice fields are maintained and in the dry season fishing from smaller boats take place. Ko Yao Noi Island can offer spectacular views, that you would not find at any other places. Til today, only a hand full of good resorts can be found on the island.

Kohyao Noi, Thailand's Paradise lsle, has been left virtually undiscovered until a few years ago. One of the first vacation homes was Long Beach Village on the white beach of Pa Zai. Today's name has changed to Holiday Resort Koyao on Long Beach and it is still one of the finest on Koh Yao Noi.
