Castaway Resort Lipe

Koh Lipe Thailand is a small Andaman Sea Thailand Island with beautiful beaches and surrounded by pristine coral reefs. Kho Leepae is part of Tarutao National Marine Park of South Thailand and is next to a group of uninhabited Andaman Sea Islands with deserted beaches, waterfalls and breath-taking viewpoints to visit. If you are looking for a place to enjoy a relaxed beach holiday or family vacation, Koh Lipeh will be the choice.

Castaway Resort Koh Lipe is located on the east side of Koh Lipe towards the southern end of Sunrise Beach. At Castaway Lipeh Resort the spirit of the movie ‘The Beach’ is brought to life. Amidst the beautiful setting of Koh Lipe, the spacious wooden bungalows of Castaway Koh Lipe and the large chill out deck overlooking Sunrise Beach make it the most atmospheric of Koh Li-pae’s resorts.

All around Cast-a-way Resort Lipeh, there are spaces to chill out and relax. Each bungalow has a shady balcony with cushions and hammocks. Castaway's Breezy Bungalows have two storeys, with a deck and a bathroom downstairs and a bedroom upstairs that has double doors opening out onto a little balcony. The upstairs bedroom has a comfortable double bed with hill tribe bedspread, cushions and a mosquito net over the bed. The bedroom is cooled by the natural breezes and a large ceiling fan. The large downstairs bathroom has a western toilet, cold water shower, sink and storage space. We have 5 Sea Breezy Bungalows, all have great views of the beautiful blue Andaman Sea.

Our 10 Comfy Bungalows have garden views and a large deck with hammocks and cushions for chilling. The main room has a comfortable double bed with hill tribe bedspread and cushions all covered with a mosquito net. The bedroom is cooled by the natural breezes and a large ceiling fan. The bathroom has a western toilet, cold water shower and sink. We can put a roll up mattress with mosquito net on the floor for an extra person or we can add 2 extra roll up mattresses for 2 children.

Castaway Lipeh Resort has 5 Garden Breezy bungalows all very close to the beach. Cast-a-way Resort has 1 House which is located at the back of the resort furthest away from the beach. The House has 2 bedrooms, a shared bathroom and a fantastic large deck on the second floor for hanging out. The upstairs bedroom has a double bed with a mosquito net and a large ceiling fan. The downstairs bedroom has 2 single beds with mosquito nets and one wall mounted fan. The large shared bathroom has a western toilet, cold water shower and sink. The House is not suitable for families with small children.

Castaway's Restaurant and bar is a large covered deck with cushions and low tables where you can sit and look out over the Andaman Sea. On Sunset Beach we have salas where you can sit in the shade and be part of the beach life. There is a coral reef right in front of Cast-a-way Lipe Resort, which can be explored by snorkelling and diving.

On Kho Lipe Island, we are surrounded by the beautiful Andaman Sea with the most amazing colours from the ever changing sun light. Around Koh Lee-Pae Island coral reefs are teeming with fish and wild life. The beaches of Koh Lipeh Island are all covered with white sand. It is impossible to visit Koh Lipe without spending time admiring the white beaches and the Andaman Sea.

One of the best ways to explore the Andaman Sea around Koh Lipe Island is by snorkelling. At Cast-a-way Resort Lipeh gear can be rented and snorkelling can be done directly from Sunset Beach and a lot of fish and corals can be seen. For more snorkelling, you can join one of our snorkel tours to the nearby Andaman Sea Islands.

Downstairs from the deck of Castaway Resort Lipe, right on Sunrise Beach, we have our own Scuba Dive Centre, Castaway Divers. Adventure trips to visit the surrounding islands, do snorkelling trips and of course scuba diving. We also rent out kayaks and snorkel sets. If you do not like to get wet and snorkelling or scuba diving is not your choice, rent a kayak and explore the small islands off Sunrise Beach. If you want to be more adventurous you can kayak all the way over to Adang and explore the remote beaches there.
